The importance of preparation
The summit is achieved the months before the expedition, with all the planning and training. As with any big challenge, preparation is crucial and more so when it comes to something you're facing for the first time. About him:
"I am an Industrial Engineer (by ICAI) and also a "restless ass" that if it were not for teleworking I would not stop at home. I have been lucky enough to be able to travel half the world since I was a child and get to know different cultures, something that I am passionate about. On the other hand, I am attracted to risk in general: parachuting, bungee jumping, deep diving..."
On what moves him:
"My life purpose is to try to create a positive impact on society starting with my closest environment, an objective that I materialize through the MAAS Foundation, which we created in memory of my sister."
Javier Álvarez
About him:
"I am an Aerospace Engineer by training (by UPM) and sport occupies a large part of my life because of rackets, diving, mountaineering and running."
On what moves him:
"My priority is to be a little better person every day and have a life as full as possible on a personal and professional level, always prioritizing health, family, friends and a job that fulfills me."
